Description
The Mountain Gate Family Restaurant was opened almost 50 years ago in Thurmont, Maryland and quickly became a popular dining destination. The restaurant was opened by the McCleaf family, who previously owned a nearby truck stop in Thurmont. The McCleafs had a vision to offer a true family restaurant, one where you could be comfortable taking your family and offer a quality product at a reasonable price.
Today, Mountain Gate is renowned for their delicious homemade cooking, fresh baked goods, catering, and unique gift shop. Mountain Gate can also hold up to 350 guests. We also have private banquet rooms that can be flexibly sized to suit parties from 10 people up to 200.
